Welcome to SARCON 2026 — Arizona’s Search & Rescue Conference, held every two years. We are excited to bring SAR team members from across the state together for training, skill-building, and strengthening the partnerships that matter in the field.

Eligibility: SARCON 2026 is open to Search & Rescue team members who have successfully completed an ASARCA Basic SAR Academy and are currently affiliated with an Arizona Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue team.  All registrations will be verified.

Location: Camp Ponderosa – Heber, AZ

Thanks to a grant that was secured, all participants will have conference costs covered, including registration, housing, meals, and the SARCON official t-shirt.

Whether you are attending for the main conference, the K9 conference, or both, we invite you to join us for practical training, professional development, and an opportunity to connect with SAR teams statewide.

  • K9 Conference: April 29–May 1, 2026

Main Conference Schedule (May 1–3, 2026)

  • Sessions begin: Friday, May 1, at 8:00 AM
  • Early arrival begins: Thursday, April 30, at 3:00 PM
  • Dinner is provided Thursday night
  • Housing opens Thursday night
  • Conference ends: Sunday, May 3 at 12:00 PM

K9 Conference Schedule (April 29–May 1, 2026)

  • Sessions begin: Wednesday at 8:00 AM
  • Early arrival begins: Tuesday at 3:00 PM
  • Dinner + housing available Tuesday night
  • K9 portion ends: Friday at 5:00 PM

After the K9 conference ends Friday, attendees may leave after Friday dinner, or continue into the main conference
and stay through Sunday.


Housing Options

Attendees may select one of the following:

  • Dorm Housing (on-site)
  • Camping (vehicle, tent, or RV/trailer)
  • Off-site lodging (commute daily)

Meals

Participants may choose the included meal plan or opt out and provide their own meals.

  • Included meal plan (recommended for convenience)
  • Opt-out meal plan (bring your own meals)

Awards Ceremony Dinner (Saturday Night):
Participants who opt out of meals may still attend the Saturday evening steak dinner as part of the Awards Ceremony.


Grant-Funded Conference

Thanks to a grant secured for SARCON 2026, participants will have their conference costs covered.
During registration, participants will have the option to pre-purchase additional swag (Additional shirts and other items will be available) to ensure availability. A small number of these items will be available at the conference on a first-come, first-served basis


Important Registration Update (Verification Required)

Because SARCON 2026 is grant-funded, registration will not be automatically finalized immediately after submitting the form.
All attendees will be verified to confirm their affiliation with an Arizona Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue team.

What to expect after you register:

  1. Submit your registration form
  2. Your SAR affiliation is verified
  3. You will receive a follow-up email confirming next steps
  • If you ordered additional swag:
    You will receive an email with instructions to pay for the swag you selected. Once completed, your registration will be finalized.
  • If you did not order additional swag:
    You will receive an email confirming your registration is finalized.
